Kindergarten	Personal/Social Development Develop a positive attitude toward self as a unique individual. Identify resource people in the school and community. Develop coping skills for dealing with problems. Career Development Become familiar with the roles of community helpers. Understand the importance of trying your best. Academic Development Display a positive interest in learning. Develop a sense of pride in one’s work and achievement.
First	Personal/Social Development Identify and express feelings. Identify resource people in the school and community and know how to seek their help. Apply coping skills for dealing with problems. Career Development Develop a positive attitude toward work and learning. Learn how to interact and work cooperatively. Academic Development Use communication skills to know when and how to ask for help. Develop an awareness that achievement requires work and persistence.
Second	Personal/Social Development Utilize coping skills for dealing with problems. Distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate behavior. Apply effective problem-solving and decision-making skills to make safe and healthy choices. Understand the consequences of decisions and choices. Learn about the emotional and physical dangers of substance use and abuse. Develop an awareness that peer pressure may influence decision-making. Sixth	Personal/Social Development Learn how to make and keep friends by developing interpersonal skills that stress respect for self and others. Demonstrate when, where, and how to seek help for solving problems and making decisions. Apply effective problem-solving and decision-making skills to make safe and healthy choices.
