2007-2008 REGISTRATION

GRADES K-12

 

Registration for students transferring into the Wissahickon School District to grades K-12 will be processed at Central Office/Administration building.  We are located at 601 Knight Road, Ambler, PA.

What you will need to complete the registration process:

 

  1. One registration packet per transferring student – This can be picked up from the Administration building mailed to your home/office.
  2. Proof of age - Original Birth Certificate, Passport, or Baptismal Certificate
  3. Proof of residency - Deed, Agreement of Sale, Rental Lease; or any of the two:  drivers license, utility bill, W2 Form
  4. Proof of Immunization - Photocopy of immunization record from doctor or school 
  5. If applicable - Special Education – Copy of students’ Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.); Gifted Individualized Education Program (G.I.E.P.); Evaluation Report (E.R.)

 

Students entering grades 6 – 12 should bring a copy of their most recent report card and or transcript.  Your counselor will want to see this information to help determine class assignment.

STUDENTS TRANSFERRING INTO GRADES 1 – 12

Beginning the 1st week of March, you may contact Mrs. Toni Reed, District registrar at

215-619-8000 x 3009 or email – treed@wsd.k12.pa.us, to have a registration packet mailed to you.  You may also stop by the Wissahickon School District Administration building at 601 Knight Road, Amble, PA, to sign out your packet. 

 

NO APPOINTSMENTS WILL BE MADE APRIL 14TH – MAY 9TH

 

Packets should be returned by appointment only.  Students need not attend this appointment; however students entering grades 6-12 will need to make a separate appointment with the school counselor so that appropriate placement and class selection may be made.

 

In order to assure a successful registration bring Proof of students’ age, proof of residency, and immunization record to the appointment:

 

Proof of age:  (choose one from the list below)

·        Original Birth Certificate

·        Passport

·        Baptismal Certificate 

 

Proof of residency: (two from the list below)*

·        Current Driver’s License

·        Recent Water/Sewage, Electricity, Home Telephone, or Current years’ W2 Form

·        Recent Agreement of Sale*

·        Recent Rental Lease*

·        Deed*

* One of these items will satisfy proof of residency requirement

 

Immunization Record:

·        Photocopy of immunization record from doctor or previous school

·        Baby book showing dates and type of shots received 

 

Special Education:  (If applicable)

·        Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.);

·        Gifted Individualized Education Program (G.I.E.P.)

·        Evaluation Report (E.R.)

 

Students entering grades 6 – 12:  Bring a copy of their most recent report card and or transcript.

 

Students entering grades 6 – 8:  There will be a tour for all incoming 6th graders in June (check MS website for details).  Placement testing will be held in August (check MS website for details).  A building tour will also be given at this time.  In addition, one morning a month counselors will be available to give tours.

Students entering grades 9-12 – The High School counselors will also be available throughout the summer on an abbreviated schedule.
