For The Reporter  Wissahickon School District Business Manager Robert Salanik
has presented an update on the 2009-10 budget numbers, indicating a reduced
difference between revenues and expenditures.
 
WSB to refinance $11 mill. in bonds

At its meeting Monday night, the Wissahickon Board of School directors
authorized the borrowing of up to $13 million to refinance $11,040,000 in
bonds issued in 2001 and 2004.

A routine review of Wissahickon School District's Outstanding debt revealed the potential to save approximately $125,000 in lower interest costs for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. As a result of this survey, the district was awarded a "AAA" bond rating.
